TORONTO, ONTARIO, Apr 25, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) — Stroud Resources Ltd. (“Stroud” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that, subject to regulatory approval, Kerry D. Smith, P. Eng, MBA has been appointed to the board of directors of the Company joining George Coburn and Lonnie Kirsh on the board.


Kerry is a professional engineer, with more than 30 years of experience in strategic leadership, financing and operational aspects of mining projects and currently serves as President of Strike Minerals Inc., President and CEO of HMZ Metals Inc. and Chairman of the Board of Southeast Asia Mining Corp., all public mineral exploration and development companies.
