COLORADO SPRINGS March 5, 2012 Gold Resource Corporation (NYSE Amex: GORO) is pleased to announce hiring Mr. Rick Irvine as the Companys Chief Operating Officer (COO). Gold Resource Corporation is a low-cost gold producer with operations in the southern state of Oaxaca, Mexico.
Mr. Irvine is a Mining Engineer with 22 years of industry experience spanning Canada, Mexico, Central and South America. In the last six years Rick has contributed to the start-up of three new mining operations in Bolivia, Argentina and Mexico. He holds a BSc in Geology from the University of New Brunswick and a BSc. in Mining Engineering from Queens University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
As COO Mr. Irvine joins the Company to support and help develop its Mexican operations, and also to be involved with potential projects outside of Mexico. In Mexico he will assist Country Manager, Mr. Juan Manuel Flores, with continued El Aguila Project development and in advancing the Oaxaca Mining Units additional properties. Mr. Irvine stated, I look forward to joining Gold Resource Corporation and working with its partners, including local communities and governments, to ensure the Companys continued success.
