Monumental Energy is thrilled to announce the newest member of our In-Country Chilean Team, Mariana Cervetto.
Mariana, a geologist with a specialization in hydrogeology, brings extensive expertise in salt flat basins. With a rich background in consulting, she has led projects encompassing hydrogeological modelling, environmental impact studies, socio-hydrogeology engagement, and advising indigenous communities on sustainable practices. Integrating these experiences, she crafts interdisciplinary solutions, contributing to the coexistence of mining practices in harmony with environmental and social contexts.
Mariana comments:
“I am eager to face the challenge to lead Monumental Energy operations in Chile, where we understand that innovation for minimizing environmental impact and cultivating community involvement must steer the development of mining projects from their inception.”
Michelle Dececco, Interim CEO comments:
“Since hiring Mariana back in late November, she has been boots on the ground, driven and determined to assist Monumental Energy with advancing both Laguna Blanca and Turi and engaging with the communities. Mariana spent four years living in San Pedro de Atacama and her knowledge and experience is something Monumental is delighted to have.”
