Azure Minerals Limited (ASX: AZS) (“Azure” or the “Company”) is pleased to advise that the Mexican tax office has this week paid to Azure the amount of Mx$6,188,000 (approximately A$467,000).
This payment comprises the interest component on the Mx$10,337,075 payment (approximately A$767,000) that the Mexican tax office remitted to Azure in September 2019 (refer ASX: 16 September 2019), giving a total received by Azure of Mx$16,525,075 (approximately A$1,234,000). These payments are the result of the successful resolution of the Company’s legal action for the recovery of IVA (the Mexican equivalent of GST) dating back to the 2016 financial year.
A fee of 15% is payable to the Company’s legal and tax advisors.
