Sonora Resources is concentrating on the development of prospective Silver opportunities in Mexico. Mexico is the world’s second largest silver producer after Peru. Company President and Chief Executive Officer Juan Miguel Rios Gutierrez is a seasoned geologist who resides in Mexico. He previously helped build First Majestic Silver Corporation from a junior mining exploration company on the TSXV to a major global silver producer (7.5m oz Ag in 2011).

Sonora Resources Corp. has currently optioned two silver properties in Mexico. The Jalisco Group of Properties total 5,240 hectares near Guadalajara. The Los Amoles Property totals 3,590 hectares in the State of Sonora, near Hermosillo.

First Majestic Silver Corp (FMSC) originally acquired the Jalisco prospect claims. They were acquired by Sonora via an Option Agreement. This was as a package within the Minera El Pilon properties. Sonora Resources believes the property shows the potential to become an important producing mine for the area and the Company.

The Los Amoles Property is 10 kilometers northeast of the producing La Caridad mine, operated by Grupo Mexico, which is one of the largest mining and processing complexes in Mexico. Sonora Resources has confirmed the high-grade potential for the project.

Highlight samples include 2.0 meters grading 0.63 g/t gold and 698.6 g/t silver, 6.0 meters averaging 0.33 g/t gold and 226.6 g/t silver (including 2.0 meters grading 0.63 g/t gold and 497.3 g/t silver), 1.0 meters grading 0.33 g/t gold and 496.8 g/t silver and dump material grading 0.24 g/t gold and 1,027.5 g/t silver.

Recently, Sonora Resources Corp. reported the completion of the previously announced geophysics program at the Los Amoles Property. Historic data and work results indicate the area as prospective for epithermal Silver-Gold deposits of interest. Sonora Resources holds an option to earn a 70 percent interest in the property

The recent geophysics program consisted of IP and Magnetic susceptibility covering a nine square kilometer area with 28 line kilometers of grid. The Company reports that initial results appear encouraging with final results and a report expected shortly. Furthermore, 124 rock samples were taken from historic workings, mineralized dumps and outcrops.
