Riverside’s President and CEO, John-Mark Staude: “We are very pleased with this first batch of samples. The results show continuity of mineralization at shallow depths and further drilling is certainly warranted to extend known near-surface mineralization at North Breccia and test at greater depth at San Jose where the first ever 4-holes all encountered gold mineralization and point to strong potential at slightly greater depths.”
N. Eric Fier, CPG, P.Eng, and CEO, remarked, “We are very encouraged by the results from the Babi Vista and Granaditas areas, including the Babi Vista Vein Splay, which support our goal to target potential resource conversion proximal to planned and existing underground workings.”
“We continue to see improved production from Platosa after the changes we made in mid-2020, with our third consecutive quarter of more than 21,000 tonnes mined,” stated Brendan Cahill, President & CEO. “The mine is reaching a good steady state of production, though we continue to see opportunities to improve mill recoveries.”
In Sonora, Orogen and exploration partner Hochschild plc have commenced a planned 3,100-metre drilling program on the Sarape project, and Heliostar Metals Limited has initiated a 1,500-metre drilling program on the La Lola project.
Carlyle’s President and CEO, Morgan Good commented, “Carlyle is extremely encouraged by such positive results from our Phase 1 drill campaign at the Cecilia Project in Sonora, Mexico. Each hole intersected mineralization but specifically hole 5 into the North Breccia target with 24.2m of 1.51 g/t Au has gotten us excited. We are optimistic some of the remaining results which also tested the North Breccia target will prove successful and set the stage for a more robust Phase 2 drill campaign.”
Mike Struthers, CEO, commented: “This is the start of a very exciting year for Candelaria as we evolve from an explorer to a producer in a little over 12 months, and as we execute an exciting exploration program at the company’s flagship asset in the Caballo Blanco district.”
Canuc Resources Corporation is pleased to provide an update on the drilling program currently in progress at the Company’s San Javier Ag-Au Project in Sonora State, Mexico.
“After a record-setting previous quarter, silver production in the first quarter came in slightly below budget primarily due to lower average silver grades and an extreme cold weather event in the month of February which reduced milling rates at La Encantada,” said Keith Neumeyer, President & CEO.
Gold has again risen to all-time highs because investors have again rushed to its traditional ‘safe haven’. It rises not despite the pandemic… but because of the global crisis.
